Macaulay Culkin, who played Kevin in Home Alone, has finally broken his silence about some rumors that have surrounded the films for more than 30 years.

The 44-year-old actor appeared on Hot Ones, hosted by Sean Evans on the First We Feast channel, and was asked about certain stories regarding the films’ scripts and his co-stars while eating spicy chicken wings.
In the video, Culkin began by addressing the rumor that he had improvised Kevin’s iconic line: “You guys give up? Or are you thirsty for more?”. Despite the gossip, he denied it was his doing, saying the line was already in the script.
However, the actor admitted to improvising other lines during filming. “When I was in the supermarket, it was like: ‘Where are your parents? Why don’t you tell me?’. And I said: ‘Because you’re a stranger.’ That was mine, I did that kind of thing a lot.”

Moving on to the scene where Kevin finds a picture of his older brother’s girlfriend, he sarcastically says: “Buzz, your girlfriend: woof!”. Many believed the photo was actually of a boy in makeup and not a girl.
And Culkin confirmed the rumors: “That’s what I was told, apparently that was the joke.” But the actor said they would have to ask director Chris Columbus to be sure.
The Kevin McCallister actor also admitted that his stunt double during filming was actually a 30-year-old man named Larry.
Apparently, when Culkin was asked to guess his age, he said he must have been 13, which made the stunt double burst out laughing.
Culkin, who was 9 years old at the time, even became concerned about Larry’s health, including during the scene where Kevin falls from a shelf, which was filmed many times.
“They didn’t like how everything fell. So they did it again, and again, and again, and I said: ‘Please, go easy on Larry! He’s only 13!’” Culkin recalled.
